EPHRAIM'S FORUM
For those who are of Ephraim, holding the rights
and responsibilities of the kingdom, this is your
forum; to pursue remedy for our ills, and
accomplish the bringing forth of Zion.
WHERE IS EPHRAIM?
Look to the Stars
"... we find in Jefferson's writings and in the
writings of others of our Founding Fathers, that on numerous occasions heavenly
intervention helped to establish this nation as a free land. It was a result of the prayers of these
great men that this intervention came. ... Most of us have never been taught
that when the signers of the Declaration of Inde-pendence were contemplating
the signing of that document, they began to hesitate, ... At that last moment,
when they were about to give up, they heard a voice ring out from the balcony
above them. The speaker gave one of the
most inspiring speeches you will ever read.
That speech was so moving that the Founding Fathers rushed
forward eagerly and signed their names to the Declaration of Independence. When they had finished, they turned to thank
the gentleman who had given the speech but he was gone. The doors were locked, the windows barred,
and there were guards posted all around the building; ... Yet no one saw him
enter or leave and no one knew who he was nor where he went.
Now these occurrences are recorded
in a book entitled The Secret Destiny of America by Manley P. Hall.
According to another book entitled Our
Flag by R. A. Campbell, we can probably deduce that this same gentleman
appeared to Jefferson, Washing-ton and Franklin as they contemplated the design
of our first flag. ... That design was influenced by the gentleman known as
"the professor" who appeared when they were discussing the design of
the flag. They asked his opinion and he
advised them to include the Union Jack in the design. He said that later that section then depicting the British symbol
would be changed. ... The second flag under which the American troops fought
displayed twelve star arranged in a circle with one larger star in the center
representing the House of Israel, the twelve tribes of Israel and their king,
the Saviour of the world and/or the twelve apostles and the Lord Jesus
Christ. (Later someone took it upon
himself to redesign the flag and put all the thirteen stars in the
circle.) (The American Dream by Bill
Koerner, preface)
Not wishing to differ with the
above, but our father Joseph, who was sold into Egypt, dreamed that his
brothers, symbolized as stars, made obeisance to him. Ephraim holding the birthright of his father, Joseph, would be
the center star with the other tribes of Israel bowing to him, or making
obeisance. This is corroborated by D &
C 133.32 where the Lord explains that the lost tribes would come to Zion. "And there shall
1
fall down and be crowned with glory, even in Zion, by the
hands of the servants of the Lord, even the children of Ephraim."
Restitution of the Birthright
We have already established that
the Anglo-Saxon race is of Ephraim; that Ephraim holds the birthright, i.e. the
priesthood; that priesthood is the government of God. That the government of these United States, i.e. its Constitution
was inspired or came from God is the same as saying it is God's
government. Thus, it was the beginning
of the restitution of the House of Israel in these last days. As Thomas Jefferson said it, "Has not
every restitution of the ancient Saxon laws had happy effects? ... Is it not
better now that we return at once into that happy system of our ancestors,
..." "... the American
revolution was nothing but the reclamation of the Anglo-Saxon Birthright
..." (The Real Thomas Jefferson,
pages 74, 75)
A Godly Constitution
In Alma chapter 13 it speaks of
those called to be priests before the foundation of the world. The reason given for them being called was
because they had exercised exceeding great faith and good works, whereas others
had not. I want to point out that those
men who established our Constitution did so only by exercising exceeding great
faith and good works. Also because
those principles of government they drew up were simply a living, breathing
part of themselves. They were living
con-stitutions who simply gave us, if we will, a part of themselves.
In the Council of Fifty i.e. The
Kingdom of God, there was a Consti-tution that was revealed by the Lord: "Ye are my Constitution and I am your
God and ye are my spokesmen, therefore from henceforth keep my commandments."
Only men have power in themselves,
a paper constitution will only have worth inasmuch as there are men who will
embrace it and exercise their power in its defence. When Jesus said that the kingdom was within, he certainly meant
it; for "you reflect in everything you do, and everything you do reflects
on you. Madison said, "...what is
government itself but the greatest of all reflections on human nature? (The Five Thousand Year Leap, page 165)
"... it is a fundamental
principle in all Republican Governments, that all political power is inherent
in the people; ..." (Constitution of the State of Deseret) As the power is in the people, only people
who are godly constitutions will be capable of keeping a godly
constitution. Where you can find a
godly constitution you will most likely find an Ephraimite.
The Elders of Israel
With the understanding that our
Founding Fathers were restoring the Anglo-Saxon birthright; or the government
of ancient Israel beginning
2
with Ephraim; it becomes quite plain why, "... the
Elders of this Church (LDS) will be the men who will uphold and maintain the
Constitution of the United States, when others are seeking to trample it in the
dust, and to destroy it." (JD
26:142) "... that it would become
the duty of the Latter-day Saints and those in sympathy with them to rescue it
(the Constitution) from destruction, and to maintain and sustain the
princi-ples of human freedom for which our fathers fought and bled." (JD 26:226)
Brigham Young said, "Ephraim
has become mixed with all the nations of the earth, and it is Ephraim that is
gathering together." And,
"... the Elders who have arisen in this Church and Kingdom are actually of
Israel." Again, "What part or
portion of them? (that are being gathered) The same part or portion that redeemed the
House of Jacob, and saved them from perishing with famine in Egypt." JD 2:268)
Many are Called but Few are Chosen
Free agency is identified
in many terms: Freedom, liberty, right
of choice, right of self-determination, etc.
It is the one main fundamen-tal principle of God, of life. It was over this principle that a war was
fought in heaven before the world was.
From ancient times to the very beginning of this nation, and now, the
struggle for and against free agency has continued. Even those called to the priesthood must find this battle within
themselves.
In the D & C 121:34-40, it
talks of many being called (to the priesthood, or to be godly constitutions)
but few being chosen. It says that they
do not learn this one lesson, then they list several things, then say, "We
have learned by sad experience that it is the nature and disposition of almost
all men, as soon as they get a little authority, as they suppose, they will
immediately begin to exercise unrighteous dominion. Hence many are called, but few are
chosen."
The one thing that seems to be
nearly everyone's forte is in trying to take away others' free agency. So, whom among the great nation of the
U.S.A. qualifies to be a son of Ephraim?
Whom among the many called to the priesthood of the Almighty qualifies
to be a son of Ephraim?
Isaiah says, "... all tables
are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean." (Isaiah 28:8) Where do you find Ephraim?
He is like an endangered species, yet there are none who seek his
salvation. Where you can find a godly
constitution like Washington, Jefferson, etc.
Where you can find those trying to save what they gave us. Where you can find anyone exercising and abiding
by true righteous dominion, and showering it forth in the expression of true
Christlike love upon all mankind; there you will find Ephraim.
Summary:
These United States as established originally was the begin-ning of the
restoration of the House of Israel established by the blood of Ephraim, with
the flag or standard depicting Israel symbolized as the stars that our father
Joseph saw in his dream; bowing to him, in our day
3
to Ephraim the birthright tribe. Ephraim will crown the other tribes with glory when they come and
fall down before them.
But who is of Ephraim, as many are
called but few are chosen? Those who
exercise exceeding great faith and good works, showing themselves to be godly
constitutions, by exercising righteous dominion, thus allowing their fellow men
their free agency.
