AN OPEN LETTER TO EPA CZAR MICHAEL O. LEAVITT
I watched with some amusement as you conducted your own farewell and pronounced your term as Governor of Utah a shining success; having conjured up “Enlibra” and having touched the mystical center by achieving and dispensing “balance” to Utah’s denizens who have been fortunate to have had the privilege of basking in your glow. Mommy was so proud of little Mikey—she shed tears of joy. Old man Dixie smiled and “chortled in his joy”; as he did when little Dave sent polyg’ Tom Green ‘up the river’. Would great-great-grandfather Dudley Leavitt (Mountain Meadows Massacre participant?) be proud?
Far from achieving “balance”, you are just a ‘fence-sitter’; a liberal Republican who tries to walk the ‘middle of the road’. By trying to be ‘all things to all people’ you have become nothing to everyone and, as you walk the safety of the middle of the road, hopefully there is a metaphorical political Peterbilt out there with your name on it, to put you out of our misery.
By being “lukewarm” you have betrayed the cause of the unborn; betrayed freedom by betraying gun rights; besmirched Utah’s reputation by pandering to the I.O.C. in behalf of Gordy Hinckley who wanted the Olympics at all cost (even the cost of Snow White Escort prostitutes); betrayed your former friends and colleagues, Welch and Johnson, by making them your scapegoats; let them run off into political oblivion, carrying your sins into the wilderness (while you ascend to greatness); betrayed the citizens of Utah by signing legislation that allows the dumping (injecting) of toxic waste hydrofluosilicic acid (along with lead and other heavy metals) into the culinary water under the pretext of dental health (“fluoride” also ends up in the brain – 16% of Prozac is fluorine atoms by molecular weight); betrayed freedom from government intrusion into marriage by signing legislation that singles out some non-government-approved, yet parent-approved, marriages as felonies; betrayed taxpayers by dispensing political punishment and reward (like making little brother Dave’s co-counsel in the Tom Green kangaroo trial your toxic waste czar as a reward) and betrayed Utah’s environment by the introduction of whirling disease through Leavitt fish hatcheries.
President Bush undoubtedly is aware of your unexcelled skills as a sycophant and lap-dog, yet is he aware of the treachery and duplicity to which your family seems ‘genetically pre-disposed’; could you turn traitor and bite him? Are you a one-owner lap-dog unable to make the transition from Gordy to “W”?
In any event, the state of Utah, Utah’s environment, and freedom are well rid of you, and hopefully you will be so fettered by the quagmire of Washington politics as to be totally ineffective; freedom and the environment may only hope. You have poisoned Utah’s wells and infected Utah’s trout, what schemes have you for the nation as E.P.A. czar? Do as doctors are supposed to do: “Do no harm.” Do the nation a favor—do nothing.
I write to tell you that, since neither you nor your self-serving, treacherous, duplicitous, lying little brother Dave are currently “swilling at the public trough” (since Dave was voted out of office); since neither of you lying Leavitts is currently employed at Utah state taxpayers’ expense, I have decided to replace the sign I have been displaying outside of Temple Square wherein I call you a pimp and Dave a vulture (the very same Dave Leavitt who on the one hand went out to the polygamous Juab County Allreds and assured them that they could vote for him because he had no intention of prosecuting them, pandering for votes like a pathetic pimp, then on the other hand publicly smeared all polygamists as being guilty of the crimes of some in a few of these groups: incest, forced child marriages, child molestation – advocating prosecution for them all and thereby justifying his prosecution of ‘independent fundamentalist’ Tom Green). Your leaving public office in Utah was one of the conditions upon which I would remove the sign, and, should you or Dave return to office in Utah before Tom Green is released from prison, please inform me so I can remake the sign and display it again, since the old one has faded and become tattered over the years.

P.S. I will still be handing out the 9/11/98 and 7/24/00 Leavitt letter/flyers, at least until I run out. Do Utah a favor and stay in Washington, and find little Dave a Beltway “job” if you can, it’s the least you can do since he fell on his sword for you after you ‘misspoke’ yourself July 23, 1998, saying that polygamists had Constitutional rights. Dave (would-be master manipulator and scammer of both ends against the middle) won’t be able to get elected dog catcher in Utah, especially if it becomes public knowledge that he went crawling to the Allred polygamists begging for their votes and won them by a 99% margin! Hopefully, all Utahns aren’t as gullible as the Allreds.
P.P.S. God damn and destroy all traitors to freedom and the Constitution such as you and little Dave.
