Throw the Rascals Out
(flouride, letter to the editor)
December 12, 2002
Dear Editor,
Throw the rascals out! All of
them! Danny McConkie and his fellow commissioners have generated more
trouble in this county than it has ever seen. They are overpaid
kingdom-builders who sit around feeding the fantasies of their fellow
bureaucrats at taxpayer expense. It all started when they put
"fluoride" on the ballot. Only three thousand misinformed
voters decided it would be easier to have the cities put toxic waste
(Hydrofluorosilicic acid and .05% "heavy metals as lead", including
arsenic, mercury and other toxins that end up in the brain as well as in the
teeth) into municipal water than it would be for them to just buy and
administer the pill (pharmaceutical-grade sodium fluoride) to their children
themselves. Ten thousand registered voters who started to learn the truth
about Lewis Garrett's "fluoride" fantasies signed a petition so they
could vote no. Judge Glenn Dawson threw the petition out: Glenn Dawson;
throw the rascal out!
County health czar, Lewis Garrett, assisted Beth Beck's
pro-fluoride Nazis and acted against the county attorneys in court to their
surprise and dismay. Lewis Garrett; throw the rascal out!
County attorney Mel Wilson didn't appeal Judge Dawson's
decision because "judges get mad when you appeal their
decisions." Wilson is more afraid of one judge than ten thousand
registered voters: Mel Wilson; throw the rascal out!
Sheriff Bud Cox has no internal affairs department and it
shows. If Cox had to endure the smug, grinning arrogance and incompetence
of what I hope is just a minority of his deputies, he might think twice.
At Monday's famous tax revolt, a police officer who lives in Davis but works in
another county told how a person was booked into the Davis jail for a leash law
violation for which he could have just been cited and released. Is Cox
trying to fill up "his" jail? If Cox wants to build his kingdom
by hiring more deputies who are as rude, incompetent and unprofessional as they
care to be, I say, Bud Cox; throw the rascal out!
Lastly, throw the trouble-making county commission
out! Their attitude is "shut-up and drink your lead
("fluoride"), shut-up and pay your taxes; we'll decide!"
Except, guess what, our illustrious state legislators have not provided any way
to recall county officials who misbehave!
It's easier to get rid of the county-mandated toxic waste
being injected into our water, than it is to get rid of the conniving traitors
who put it there and keep it there. Few are informed enough to understand
the issues involved in the fluoride controversy forced on the county citizens
by the commission, but everyone understands self-serving thieves reaching into
your wallet; theft by taxation!
